Our Mission

The mission of the Department of Emergency Medical Services is to provide services to the community which preserve life, improve health and promotes the safety of citizens and visitors, who live, learn, work and play in our community.
 
This mission is accomplished through a systems approach focused on providing timely responses; high quality patient care services; public awareness and education; proactive safety interventions; and all hazards readiness.
